Private parking nearby provided. Impressive, impeccable units provided with king size bed, WiFi, as example. Great and lovely location for New York, just next door to attraction, the theater district and the communal areas.

Hotel room is large (for New York standard) and clean. Hotel is conveniently located within 3 blocks from Central Station. There is also live Jazz music every night at the bar lounge - no cover charge for weekday nights but must purchase food or drinks at a reasonable minimum $15 per person. Will certainly consider staying at this hotel again if rates are reasonable.
Breakfast and internet (Wifi) were not included in hotel rates.

The hotel was comfortable and gorgeous, it had super friendly staff from the maids to the doorman. There was large breakfasts with Japanese options and fresh fried fish. The airport was 0.5 miles away.

Hotel staff is very friendly, and they have really nice jazz branches and evenings
the room was cold and the air control system did not work properly. The room was not very clean. Phone and internet had failures. The bar in the hotel has not good staff (working very slowly, not bringing the bills for 15 minutes etc)

It was pricey, at least on the night I was there.

Location.
The hotel was great. However the staff was not enthusiastic and was lacking in the service department. I could have stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park for the same amount of money. The bar charged me $8.00 for a non alcholic beer.

Very much liked the location of the hotel. Near shopping, Grand Central Station, Empire State Building. We found our room to be very clean and the beds ever so comfortable. The staff was great. I thought the parking was quite reasonable for NY.

comfortable stay with minor drawbacks
Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The friendly staff went out of their way to assist us with several requests.
The rooftop bar could use a broader drink selection.

Hakubai Restaurant. In all the 4 years that I've known and stayed at Kitano Hotel Hakubai has upheld their good service and the quality of their food. Kitano Hotel is a cosy hotel without too much fanfare. This is one of the things which I like about the hotel. The staff is always friendly although there are exceptions. On the whole it's a comfortable hotel.
Although I do like staying at the Kitano Hotel I think it is time that the hotel did some upgrading to the hotel rooms. The carpets are old and the room has a stale smell when you enter. The bathroom taps drip. The room service menu also needs something extra. It's quite limited at the moment although I think having the Japanese menu is a good touch.
